I just think it's a hoot that the Mets blew a Pennant thanks to a player who is reminiscent of Bucky Dent, but, since he doesn't play for the Phillies or Mets, it doesn't have the same resonance to them that Bucky does to the Chowdaheads.Uncle Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11618876073064128027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8624254435992330014.post-74813303152627931762010-08-16T13:56:41.654-04:002010-08-16T13:56:41.654-04:00Uncle Mike, we were at Martell's before the ga...Uncle Mike, we were at Martell's before the game, so we didn't remove the jinx! Also, Jon said he saw somebody on TV at Citi Field this week wearing a Yadier Molina World Series jersey. Was that you? ;)

And The Emperor, I stand corrected. I forgot about the whole Alexander the Great thing!Lisa Swanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04909220094978054349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8624254435992330014.post-5074992454754505492010-08-16T12:46:33.868-04:002010-08-16T12:46:33.868-04:00Hey Lisa,

They are so silly that there's no words to describe them - but only John Sterling can pull it off and get away with it!

I hope Sterling never retires. The Emperorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16026494547811435607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8624254435992330014.post-15480441738741084492010-08-16T12:02:43.131-04:002010-08-16T12:02:43.131-04:00Martell's? My family has been going to Point Pleasant since 1974 and every time I see the Yankees on Martell's TVs, they lose. I'm not talking oh and two or even 0-5. It's more like 0-30. This includes Interleague games with the Other Team and Pennant race games with The Auld Enemy. If you were able to see them win at Martell's, this could be a big thing. Especially since it's still summer and I can still get a game in there!

The family took my 3-year-old nieces to their first game yesterday. Or tried to. The results are on my blog. Suffice it to say that the happy ex-Yankee was not Tim Raines Sr.Uncle Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11618876073064128027noreply@blogger.com
