Baseball Honeymoon is a bi-weekly show featuring the husband-and-wife team of Lisa Winston and Wayne Wilentz. Lisa is a baseball writer for milb.com and mlb.com - she specializes in covering minor league baseball, and has over 20 years experience in the field. She also writes the popular got milb blog.
Lisa's husband Wayne is a jazz musician - and a baseball fanatic. (He's also a Mets fan, but I'll try not to hold that against him.) The two of them have been on a very long honeymoon - they recently celebrated their 25th anniversary!
Anyhow, we had a delightful conversation about Yankee Stadium, Citi Field, the old ballparks, and growing up in the NYC area. I really enjoyed talking with both of them. Great fun!
