Uh-oh. I managed to tick off a ton of Madonna wannabe Lady Gaga's "Little Monsters" (as she calls her fans) because I criticized the singer for the way she acted at a Mets game last week.
I did a piece for The Faster Times on how Lady Gaga did this whole "look at me, look at me" act at Citi Field. She showed up in the fifth inning wearing nothing more than a leather jacket, fishnets, and a studded bra and panties, then was all shocked that photographers wanted to take her picture. So she demanded that her seat be changed, then flipped the bird and stripped down to her underwear. Classy!
The most delicious part of the story is that even though she showed up at Citi Field, she told MTV last year that she's a Yankee fan, and had the nerve to compare herself to Mariano Rivera. Good grief.
Anyhow, I'm wondering if Met fan/Yankee fan Lady Gaga is going to try to show up at the Subway Series this weekend. And if she does, what she will do to make a spectacle of herself this time? I hope she wears the Kermit the Frog getup again!
What do you think? Tell us about it!
Based on her wearing her "Telephone" costume, she clearly intended to publically act out. As a Yankee fan, I believe her intention was create a distraction as a lack of respect. She would have mooned them if she could've avoided arrest, so she did the next best thing.
ReplyDeleteTalk about putting on a show to get attention you have to mention GAGA just to get readers.
ReplyDeleteThe Mets can have her. The other day, Simon and Garfunkel were at Yankee Stadium -- sitting together, although not rooting for the same team. (For some reason, Queens native Artie is a Phillies fan.) Now, Paul Simon is an ordinary singer, but he has written more great songs than Lady Gaga will ever hear.
ReplyDeleteI hope she gives us the sound of silence, is homeward bound, and doesn't call a radical priest to get her released and end up on the cover of Newsweek.
"Lady," who do, who do you think you're foolin'? Hillary Clinton is a more sincere fan than you are!
Even more important, I hope that ref from the U.S.-Slovenia game doesn't get on a plane and come to New York for this Interleague series. (Remember, it's not a World Series, so it's not a Subway Series.)
Here's a photo of Lady Gaga showing her stuff:
