It's time for our 2010 baseball season predictions

Squawker Jon and I are members of the Baseball Bloggers Alliance, and we were asked to vote on their Official BBA 2010 Predictions poll, to prognosticate what would happen this season.

The big news about these awards is that there is an award for best reliever named after Rich (Goose) Goosage. Very cool!

The BBA will release the results of this preseason poll soon, but in the  meantime, here's a look at what we predicted for the season. I did the AL predictions, Jon did the NL predictions, and we both agreed on the World Series winners' pick. Which is to say, I pointed out that I would be right, and Jon shook his head and gave a sad look, the way most Mets fans do when they think about the Yankees.

But Red Sox fans will be happy - and Yankee fans will be shocked - when they see one of my awards picks. Don't say I didn't warn you!
