Yes, we have a winner (actually, we have 15 winners!)

Thanks to the good folks at A&E, we were able to run a terrific giveaway to promote our new site location. 15 lucky readers will be getting copies of A&E's Essential Games 6-DVD sets. These DVDs feature memorable games at Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium, and Fenway Park (click these links to purchase the DVDs.)

Anyhow, we received a deluge of contest entries from all over the world, A&E picked the lucky 15 who will be getting these stocking stuffers. Without further ado, the winners are...:

Shea Stadium
PT from North Carolina
Mark from New York
Kevin from New York
Matthew from Maine
James from North Carolina

Yankee Stadium
Robert from New York
Tanisha from Florida
Jerome of Connecticut
Peggy from New York
Kathryn from New York

Fenway Park
Bob from Rhode Island
Cindy from Massachusetts
Ben from Virginia
John from Massachusetts
Glenn from Massachusetts

I sent out congratulations emails to all of the winners last night, and I felt like Santa Claus!

Thanks to A&E for this terrific contest, thanks to all the bloggers who helped spread the word on the giveaway, and thanks to our readers for entering.

Lisa & Jon ..

What a nice surprise to come home after a lovely Christmas Dinner with a friend to find out I won the contest for the Yankees DVD. CC (another new "essential")and lots more Yankee watching with my new DVD set. Two terrific gifts. Thanks soooooo much. Happy Holidays to one and all (even Met & Sox fans ..haha).

I was rather pleased to get the Mets set, Will be some fun watching in the cold cold winter up here in Maine.

Who knows, maybe next year they'll be able to raffle off Subway Series 2009 sets...

Congratulations to all the winners. I always appreciate a real fan... even when the teams of which they're real fans are a real pain.

"Ben from Virginia" won the Fenway DVD? What happened, did Lindsey get a promotion, and a transfer to D.C., enabling her to be closer to her parents in Baltimore? And Ben and little Carla Yastrzemski Wrightman went with her, leaving Boston? (Yes, that's a "Fever Pitch" joke.)

A 2009 Subway Series DVD? Never gonna happen. Not with the Cubs still being the Cubs, and with the White Sox turning back into the White Flags.

I was so happy to have won the Yankee DVD set - I felt just like I did when I was 6 and still believe in Santa Claus when I saw all my presents under the tree.

Thanks so much to Lisa and everyone - I promise I will enjoy this gift immensely.

Thanks, everybody, for your thanks. I'm glad we, thanks to the largess of A&E, were able to bring you some happiness.

But I'm concerned that Uncle Mike has admitted to watching Fever Pitch. What's up with that? Why would a Yankee fan watch a Red Sox film? ;)

Thanks again Lisa and Jon,
What a swell Christmas gift.

Of course you guys (Yankees & Mets fans) have had some nice holiday signings, I hope we (Sox fans) will have something to cheer, too.

Merry Christmas everyone,
Cindy R. from MA
