I was never a big Mike Mussina fan, but I gained a lot of respect and admiration for him over the way he handled the last year of his career. He left on top with a 20-win season, and left the fans wanting more. What a cool way to go!

The answer is yes - and that's not based JUST on last night although that was the final nail in the coffin. Apparently the Sox agree since he was just DFA.
I think its nice to see someone go out on top - too bad it doesn't seem to happen too often. I feel bad for Smoltz, but he played the best and the worst with similar results.
